About

Our History

Pastor and Lady Riley have humbly ministered the Word of God fervently throughout their 40 plus years of ministry. Adhering to the teachings of Christ by continuing steadfastly in the Apostles’ doctrine, TLAM members are encouraged to walk boldly in their calling and appointed purpose of God. Numerous individuals have been ministered to, scripturally baptized and receive the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:38.

With a clarified mission, vision, purpose, and focus, they were led to begin a concentrated ministry of compassion and in-depth teaching. He emphasized the importance of believers living triumphantly as strangers and pilgrims in this world, highlighting the hope of redemption and eternal life that believers should have in Jesus Christ. Shortly after, with this revelation, they opened the doors of Triumphant Life Apostolic Ministries (TLAM) in Stafford, Virginia. The vision of this name came with the message that God’s children are to always triumph as written in 2 Corinthians 2:14. He recounted that as the Lord ministered to him, the clarification of the message emerged.

TRIUMPHANT, because the children of God will always be triumphant (victorious) in life because God ALWAYS causes us to TRIUMPH in Christ. If we trust and obey, then through our obedience to God, and a repentant heart as necessary, we will reign victorious.

LIFE, because belief in Jesus Christ is the path to eternal life. Christ is the way, the truth and the life and is our only hope that we may have life and have it more abundantly.

APOSTOLIC, because we must continue steadfastly in the Apostles’ doctrine, which Jesus Christ, commanded them to preach, beginning at Jerusalem, which they did on the day of Pentecost, Acts 2:14-39.

MINISTRIES, because the harvest is plenteous, and the needs of God’s people are many. Individuals have numerous requirements wherein assistance is needed and must be attended to as directed by the Lord. Over the years, TLAM established The Lamb’s Pantry as a way to extend a charitable arm to minister to the needs of not just the saints, but the community at large with the provision of food, clothing, housing assistance, and pecuniary needs.

During the pandemic, TLAM became a virtual ministries as did so many others. In addition to its home base, individuals are ministered to in Pennsylvania, Florida, California, New York, New Jersey, Virginia Beach, and Jamaica. The hope of every saint should be to reign and live triumphantly with Christ forever.

What We Believe

SALVATION IS…The LORD’s offer of redemption from the bondage of sin and death, to all who believe, through repentance from sin by water baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and receiving the infilling of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38) with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Holy Ghost gives utterance (Acts 2:4, 10:9, 19:6). “There is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12).

GOD/JESUS…The LORD our God is One LORD (Deu. 6:4), Jesus Christ. He alone is the LORD God and soon every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD. (Isa. 9:6, Phil. 2:10-11), and beside Him there is no other God and Savior. (Is. 43:10, 45:21, 22; Ph. 3:20; Jude 1:21, 25).

THE BIBLE IS…The infallible word of the Almighty God and LORD, Jesus Christ, “these are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which was written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and in the Psalms, concerning me.” (Luke 24:44). “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2Ti. 3:16)

THE GOSPEL IS…The good news of our LORD Jesus Christ, our Savior, God’s plan for salvation. The Apostle Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:14)

SIN IS… “…Transgression of the law.” (1John. 3:4) “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” (1John 2:16) It is all things contrary to the doctrine of Jesus. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) to all who reject His offer of salvation.

HOLINESS IS…Fulfilling God’s law in our lives. Without holiness no one shall see the Lord (He. 12:14). The LORD commanded, “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” (Le. 11:44, 1Pe. 1:15)

THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH IS… Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone (Eph. 2:20), This is the true body of believers who have repented, are baptized in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ, and filled with the Holy Ghost.

THE LORD’S RETURN IS…His second coming. (Zec.14:1-4; Jude 14; Mt. 25:31; Re. 1:7)

THE RESURRECTION AND JUDGEMENT IS…All the dead – just and unjust – will be resurrected.

  • “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth, they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (Jn. 5:28-29).
  • “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment for everyone.” (He. 9:27). “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” (2Co. 5:10)
  • Every man’s destiny will be decided by the Holy and Just God, Jesus, at His final judgment (see Mt. 25:32-34, 41, 46). “And I saw a great white throne…And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God…and they were judged every man according to their works.” (Re. 20:11-13).
  • “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” (Da. 12:2).

GOD’S ETERNAL PROMISE… The catching away of the church,

  • “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump (Trumpet) of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (I Th. 4:16-17)
  • “…He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new…He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”

Pastor and Evangelist Riley fervently and continuously teach that saints must remember the hope that they have in Jesus Christ.

Mission Statement

We are steadfast in our faith in God, our Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ, who has called us to this ministry. We commit to preaching the Word, adhering to the Apostles’ doctrine (Acts 2:42) as commanded by Jesus Christ to teach and observe all that he had commanded them (Matthew 28:19-20), and proclaiming belief in Jesus through their word (John 17:20).

Understanding that people have physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, we acknowledge our calling to be vessels of God’s blessings equipped to address these needs. Led by the Holy Spirit, we serve as responsible stewards of the resources God has assigned to us enabling effective ministering.

Vision Statement

We envision building a dedicated community of believers unified in unwavering faith in God, our LORD, and Savior Jesus Christ, who will faithfully proclaim His Word, grounded in the Apostles’ doctrine (Acts 2:42) and boldly declare the oneness of God (Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:19, 1 Timothy 3:16) across the nations. Empowered by the Holy Spirit to have a transformative move reminiscent of the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:4) and the Azusa Street revival, we purpose to be faithful stewards of the talents God has entrusted to us, a ministry of reconciliation to preach the gospel unto all for salvation, healing, deliverance, and restoration for the broken-hearted (Isaiah 61:1-3, Luke 4:18-19).

With our hearts set on God’s promises, we anticipate a future filled with miraculous manifestations of His glory!
